NFL: Super bowl lv - inspire change | 2021
A re-imagination of our 2020 NFL Kickoff - “It Takes All Of Us” film, the Inspire Change Super Bowl LV spot takes us on a journey through the momentous occasions that took place throughout the NFL season. This film is a moment to pause and honor all that we’d won and lost, ultimately landing on a first-of-its-kind commitment made by the National Football League to donate $250 million to help end systemic racism.
Within the film, we placed an ode to Robert Saleh - who made history that year by being named the first Muslim to lead a team in the National Football League (NFL). We honor Sarah Thomas, who just that season became the first woman to referee a Super Bowl. And, you also see an image of John Lewis and a Atlanta Falcons jersey set out - all to honor his life and legacy.
2020 was a year of pain and progress. This film became a beautiful blend of honoring the forward motion made + those who’ve fought to make it, while committing to further movement and progression in the future.
